Measles

  • Although measles is a highly contagious respiratory disease, it can be prevented by receiving a vaccination.
  • MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) vaccine can help prevent measles in 95-98% of people.
  • Widespread vaccination has decreased measles transmission in North America.
