DOH-WALTON OFFERS WALK IN VACCINATION APPOINTMENT FOR THURSDAY APRIL 15

DeFuniak Springs, Fla. –

Persons 18 years and above may walk in for an appointment Thursday April 15, for a Moderna Covid 19 vaccination at the Walton County Fairgrounds, 790 SR-83 in DeFuniak Springs, Fl from 10:00 am – 4:30 pm.  Those who already have an appointment through the Statewide registrations system will be seen at their scheduled appointment times. Florida residency is required.
 
If you wish to schedule an appointment, please use  https://myvaccine.fl.gov/.  On the site, residents can select Walton County and submit their contact information. Individuals will be contacted by phone call, text or email and will be assisted in scheduling an appointment. Persons who do not have internet access may call 866-201-3054 or TYY833-476-1520.
 
ALL PERSONS 18 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER ARE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE THE VACCINE IN FLORIDA
To see the latest Executive Order related to vaccine eligibility, click here.  All individuals under the age of 18 receiving a vaccine must be accompanied by a guardian and complete the COVID-19 vaccine screening and consent form.


Appointments in Walton County this week will be for one of the below days:
 

  • Thursday, April 15, 2021
DeFuniak Springs – Walton County Fairgrounds
  • Friday, April 16, 2021
DOH-Walton - Coastal Branch Clinic, Santa Rosa Beach, FL
 
The statewide preregistration system also provides each county with a designated help line number. This help line will connect individuals directly with an operator and answer questions regarding the preregistration system. Walton County’s help line number is 833-540-2079.
Persons may also receive a vaccination at several other Walton County locations. Please check  the state vaccine locator at www.floridahealthcovid19.gov/vaccines/vaccine-locator/ for your nearest location.
 
DOH-Walton/Walton Community Health Center conducts free COVID-19 testing in DOH-Walton locations in Santa Rosa Beach and DeFuniak Springs by appointment only. Call 850-401-6453 to schedule a testing appointment only. Antibody tests are not available.
