DOH-WALTON OBSERVES NATIONAL INFLUENZA VACCINATION WEEK WITH DRIVE-THRU FLU SHOT CLINIC DECEMBER 7, 2020

DeFuniak Springs, Fla. – The National Influenza Vaccination Week December 6- 12 is a
national awareness week focused on highlighting the importance of influenza vaccination.
Influenza is a potentially serious disease that can lead to hospitalization and sometimes
even death. “it’s not to late to roll down your window, roll up your sleeve and get your flu
shot”, said Holly Holt, Health Officer and Administrator. “No one has time for flu. Help
protect yourself, your loved ones, and Walton County from flu and its potentially serious
complications”.

The Florida Department of Health along with Community Partners will be holding a free
Drive-Thru Flu Shot Clinic: Limited to the first 200 people.

         When: December 7, 2020

         Time: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

         Where: Gene Hurley Park, 965 Gene Hurley Road, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435

         Who: Adults 19 and older only

         For more information: Call 850-892-8015 to schedule children’s vaccinations in the
         immunizations clinic.

this year.
